In our country, intensive efforts have been made in recent years to increase the number of hospitals and the quality of the service provided in hospitals. These developments in the health sector are, in a sense, an indicator of the country's development. However, it is known that in the past years, managers in health institutions and employees working under these managers were unfortunately inadequate to receive the training they need in business administration.

In the Health Reform report of the World Health Organization, published in Copenhagen in 1996: "Increasing the number of people who have received in-depth management training and the establishment of the appropriate health information system plays the most important role in the effectiveness and success of health reforms." The common finding of the institutions and individuals conducting research on the health and hospital system is the need for a more perfect operation of the health and hospital system. Our Health Institutions Management Program within the Mersin Vocational High School Health Programs Department will start education this year in order to raise individuals with sufficient knowledge and equipment needed by this rapidly growing and promising sector.

The Healthcare Management Program aims to train staff to work at all levels of various health institutions. Our students who will take part in this program have analytical thinking, problem solving skills, developed abilities to influence and direct others, and have good mutual relations, patient referral chain, management problems, organization, personnel and service delivery problems, information system, performance evaluation, finance. will be equipped with the ability to diagnose hardware problems and produce solutions. We have prepared a training program that aims to provide you with all these skills together with a strong training staff.

Our students who graduate from the Healthcare Management Program have the opportunity to work in institutions such as public, university, foundation hospitals, private hospitals, rehabilitation centers, as well as health insurance companies, private insurance companies, industrial organizations producing pharmaceuticals and medical devices, and health research centers.

In addition, the participation of individuals who have received education in different fields and still undertake various duties in the health sector through the remote access system, has been arranged to ensure that these individuals take a new, different and effective approach to their profession.

We believe that the "Healthcare Management" program within Mersin University, with its 100-person student quota, will make significant contributions to the whole sector and student candidates as of the 2010-2011 academic year.

The Health Sector Continuing Its Development and Change

Hoping to have a say together in its future ...
